Alchemy Audio

Privacy policy

This policy covers every Alchemy Audio product. The general sections apply to all of them; each product then has its own section saying exactly what it does with your information.

In short

We collect as little as we can. Our products have no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and we never sell or share your information.

Chromatic Tuner (iOS & Android)

The app uses your device's microphone to hear your instrument and measure its pitch.

  • It listens only while the tuner is on screen, and stops as soon as you leave the app.
  • Sound is analysed on your device, in memory. It is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
  • It has no accounts and doesn't talk to any Alchemy Audio server.
  • The only thing it stores is your A4 calibration setting (for example 440 Hz). That setting stays on your device, and deleting the app deletes it.

The app's About page lets you leave an optional tip. Tips are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. We never see your payment details. The stores may share anonymous sales totals with us, as they do for any app.

Children

Our products collect no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
